For Parents

Let’s face it, times have changed. The danger of a child being lost or abducted is a very real and disturbing concern for parents today. With Ident-A-Kid, you can sleep a little easier at night with the piece of mind that goes with knowing that you have taken pro-active steps to keep your child safe. And every single time you open your wallet, your Ident-A-Kid Immediate Response Card is a reminder of the dedication and determination you have for your child’s safety.

What is an Ident-A-Kid card?

The Ident-A-Kid card is an Immediate Response Card designed to provide parents and law enforcement officials with crucial information should your child become lost or missing. The driver's license-like card contains your child’s photograph, fingerprint and description. Parents keep the card with them at all times and, in an emergency, can provide law enforcement with it for immediate response.

How can I get an Ident-A-Kid card for my child?

If you would like to obtain a card for your child, you can contact a local Program Director. There may also be a program at your child’s school; if not, we encourage you to contact your principal and inquire about an Ident-A-Kid Program for your school.

How do I set up a program in my child's school?

The Ident-A-Kid Program gives every parent and child in your school the ability to obtain an Immediate Response Card. Programs are designed for pre-schools and elementary schools (ages 0-15), as well a middle school pre-driver’s ID program and a high school campus program are available. Other programs are available for churches, private schools and corporate facilities. The Program comes at no cost to the school, is very easy to implement and causes little to no disruption.

Child Rescue Network

Child Rescue Network (CRN) was established to help parents protect their children. CRN works with schools, communities, and businesses to educate children on the dangers that exist, how to recognize and avoid these dangers, as well as how to react should a situation arise. Child Rescue Network also searches for abducted children, partnering with professional investigators and law enforcement to locate missing children and reunite them with their searching families.  Their goal is to raise the awareness level of missing and victimized children, to provide parents with educational materials and tools to help better protect their children, and to actively search for abducted children to help reunite them with their families.

Here are some safety rules that you can download and print to practice with your child regulary.  Feel free to print copies or email the link to all of your friends and family with children.  There is no charge!  There are versions geared to children in both English and Spanish and there is also a version geared more for adults that goes into further details behind some of the information.
